Last night the neighbors across the street brought us cupcakes! What a fun surprise. MMMM Red Velvet cake. It really dyes your fingers red when you eat it.
This next week I will be working, seeing various doctors again (3 appts.), and having Chemo on Thursday afternoon. It isn't looming so large now that I know what to expect. In with all of that I will hopefully be talking to some of you, looking for good jokes, laughing, cooking (and eating) and passing on some of the mountains of love that have been showered on me. I think it will be good to make a list of interesting or fun things to do in Phoenix in the summer, for when I have the chance. (Indoors and air-conditioned.)
If I didn't have to get some normal things done I would have a party every day!!! We'll just have to plan a few at a time ...... :-) Actually, if I am fortunate enough to have a good week for every hard week, I will be grateful.
Thanks for all the calls and prayers and cards, I love everyone of them.
Carmine
Another great day!
ReplyDeleteKid, you are an inspiration. What a kick a-- attitude! I just love it. You continue to amaze me with your joyful outlook in spite of the hardships you endure. Still thinking of others and doing all you can for them. You are such a delightful person to know. Your attitude is going to pull you through this with flying colors!
Nancie and I are doing well - trying to get out on our bikes more and enjoy this beautiful city. She was laid up with a bad kidney infection for 3 weeks - just got over it in time for me to come down with a bad case of hives over the weekend. Bummer - had to go to the emergency room and get IV antihistamines. Feel good now - still don't know the cause. Perhaps this next weekend we can continue our exploration of the city.
We bought $120 worth of flowers to put in 3 pots on our 4' x 6' balcony. Will probably look a little crowded when we get through. Hard to go from 1.5 acres to no yard. Will send you a picture.
Nancie is off in Barcelona for 3 days so the Cats and I are batching it.
Lots of love, good thoughts, and prayers coming your way from Deutschland.
Eric & Nancie.
