Getting ready!

Better Outlook

Yup,  things are looking brighter.  I woke up feeling much better, after sleeping all day Friday.
I was able to make a short trip to the grocery store, and then..... we went to the movies! Yea!

Star Trek was so fun and just a great escape. "These are the voyages of the star ship Enterprise..."  I can foresee II and III must already be in the works.

I can tell I am still running on less of a battery charge but I know these are just cycles to keep working through.  I received more wonderful cards in the mail (cyber and snail) which never fail to cheer me up and remind me of how fortunate I am to have so many caring and loving friends and family.  If you called me and didn't get an answer, I was sleeping and will call you later this next week.

We had my Dad over for dinner, and then we all sat outside and talked and listened to the fountain and enjoyed it as the night cooled.  Dan even jumped in the pool for a quick cool dip.

That's enough excitement for today.

Hugs,
Carmine

  1. Glad to hear that things are getting a bit better. You seem to be doing a lot for someone who is fighting such yucky days. Grocery store and movies all in the sameday! Good for you!
But...don't underestimate the value and strength you get from a day curled up in the dark, in your favorite PJs, just allowing your body to sleep!

    You are doing GREAT!

  2. Carmine, I swear I am not a stalker...as I have currently become one of your followers I am sure you are wondering, "who is this weirdo??" I don't know if you remember me or not but you provided me with a roof over my head (as well as 4 other stinky boys) for practically a week without even KNOWING US except for matt and luke zsiga your nephews!! We also broke your ATV...well that was alex...I can't tell you how mortified by that I was...but anyways, I'm sure the suspense is killing you so I shall reveal my identity...I'm Rachel, Matt's woman! I wish Matt would have told me you had a blog sooner or I would have been following it from the GIT-GO! Weird how things slip mens' minds even when I asked about you ALL the time, lol ;) Anyways, I just can't tell you how much you touched my heart...I don't know what it is about you other than the Spirit that God blessed you with but I have carried you with me ever since I met you...which I must admit is alot to say since I forget every face and almost every person I meet. I just wanted to tell you that of course like the other million people out there that love you, I am praying for you. I'm basically but a mere stranger to you and you too me since I only got to spend such few days with you but I know I will never forget you. I just loved being around your energy and spirit. So, that just goes to show how much impact you can have on one person in such a short time ;) I hope someday I can meet your "terrier", (i'm still waiting on finding out what you named that thing, hahahhahahaha) but more than that I believe I will get to see you when you are free of it and will never have to wear another terrier again ;)

    With much love,

    Rachel Wilkinson, aka Matt's woman
